Indeed! I’m a big proponent of theosis. I was tempted to clarify that sentence a bit more about sharing in his ‘energy not essence,’ but I figured that is getting too technical.
It is always interesting where this doctrine crops up. A remarkable, perhaps unexpected, statement from Calvin's Institutes is about how mystical union with Christ is in some sense necessary for justification: "I acknowledge that we are devoid of this incomparable gift [justification] until Christ become ours. Therefore, to that union of the head and members, the residence of Christ in our hearts, in fine, the mystical union, we assign the highest rank, Christ when he becomes ours making us partners with him in the gifts with which he was endued." https://www.ccel.org/ccel/calvin/institutes.v.xii.html
"God descended to become what we are so we can ascend to share in his life." Very Athanasian!

Yep! For most Reformers, Union is basically the word for theosis.
Michael Gorman has some great work on the topic, trying to bridge Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox thought.
Maybe I’ll dare to write an article on it.
